So thankful to have an Indian restaurant in Hamilton, especially near Spooky Nook! One thing my husband and I look to explore is any new Indian restaurant that pops up in the area. We were driving through downtown Hamilton one day recently and I spotted Mirchi Indian Kitchen. I looked it up and told him we needed to give it a try!
It took us a month to get over there, but we met my dad and step mom for dinner one night. The building is nice and clean on the inside with plenty of space. All the staff was friendly and helpful as well!
The menu has plenty of options for all taste buds, and the prices are fair and competitive with other similar restaurants that we’ve had.
I tend to order chicken tandoori anytime I try a new Indian restaurant, so without fail, I did just that! I was shocked at the amount of food that came out. There was enough for two meals for sure! It was blazing hot and served with onions, bell peppers and a side of rice.
My husband ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (Special) which included onions and peppers cooked in with the sauce. He enjoyed the flavors of the dish and his spice level of 6/10 was pretty accurate!
My dad ordered the Chicken Shahi Korma and my step mom ordered the Chicken Chili. They both enjoyed their dishes as well and said they would definitely go back!
We did get an order of the Garlic Naan, but it didn’t have much of a garlic flavor to it, which was slightly disappointing. Overall consensus is that Mirchi Indian Kitchen is a great spot to visit! It’s a great Indian restaurant and a great addition to downtown Hamilton, Ohio!
Make sure you check the hours before heading in! They are closed on Sunday, and also close in the afternoon for a couple hours!
We are looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu… if I can get away from the delicious chicken tandoori!
